This is our
Bowens Mount lantern
softbox
, which fits on our Godox/Flashpoint AD400 battery powered strobes. It is medium/large sized at 31 inches.
Please note:
The lantern softbox is only a light modifier, it does not produce light. The lantern softbox needs to be paired with a strobe light such as the Godox/Flashpoint AD400.
THIS IS NOT A LIGHT!
This needs an adapter to work on Alien Bee lights like the B800, DB800, and Einstein E640.
Illuminating open spaces without evidence of light source is a real challenge that the
Glow 31" Quick Ball Lantern Softbox
solves handily. All parts of the orb emanate equal amounts of light, as the Chinese latern style globe-shaped softbox has no source focal point, no nasty reflector to gather and direct the scattering ray as they leave a wide-angle flashtube, or better yet, a barebulb flash. The degree of softness the transluscent white fabric of the Quick Ball Lantern creates, exceeds that achieved by rectangular or even polygonal softboxes. Coverage on the horizontal axis is 360½ and more than 240½ vertically. Setup and breakdown is a breeze, just a matter of minutes before you are ready to roll. The precreated frame assembly snaps into perfect shape, ready to modify any Bowens mount flash or continuous light. The natural effect makes it ideal for gentle omnidirectional lighting for conference rooms and large meeting rooms. The task of architectural photography is made simple with an arrangement of multiple lanterns, filling the space with even coverage. Even weddings and portraits can benefit from employing the sphere with supplemental fill lighting from an unobtrusive distance.
